How to hear 'RING
BELL' in Windows XP.
Follow these steps to hear the audible bell
('RB') in Windows XP.
- Add a new key in the registry.
\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps\.Default\.Default
- Start 'Control Panel' > 'Sounds and Audio Devices'
Select the 'Sounds' tab and search for the Windows 'Default Beep' line in
the listbox.
Select your preferred .wav file. (i.e. ding.wav)
- Turn on your speakers.
- Start PxPLUS in console mode and type PRINT 'RB' or hit the [BackSpace]
key.
